A brazen daylight robbery has Hallandale Police officers working to find the suspects who held up a Metro PCS cellphone store on Sunday.
Employees at the cellphone shop near the 200 block of North Federal Highway said that two masked men burst into the store around 5 p.m. with a shotgun demanding cash.
“I just see this man jumping at me from the other side of the counter to my side with a shotgun and telling me to get on the ground,” Sue Colina said.
Colina said she was in the store alone at the time, so she followed the robbers’ directions and while she was on the ground the suspects started looting the cash register.

That’s when her coworker showed up and the criminals turned the shotgun on him.
“When he heard me screaming, he started to run away, and one of the robbers was chasing him,” Colina said.
She said that during the chase, her coworker fell and injured his knees and elbow but he kept running to a nearby business and called for help.
Colina said the thieves only got away with a small amount of cash.
“They had ski masks on, they were young males. It was just a grab-and-go,” she said.
Security cameras cover almost every inch of the business. The manager is working to get that footage over to police.
