Woman injured in Everglades airboat accident

A woman was injured in an airboat accident Saturday night in an area of the Everglades west of Coral Springs.

A group of people were riding two airboats when one flipped over. It is unclear whether the airboat crashed before flipping.

The people riding the second airboat called for help and took Coral Springs firefighters to the accident site.

Mike Moser, division chief of the Coral Springs Fire Department, said Sunday that the woman was ejected from the airboat. She was treated for a serious leg injury and taken to Broward Health North.

The Coral Springs Fire Department has not identified the victim of the accident or the other people on the airboats.
