Pedestrian killed in tow truck hit-and-run

A pedestrian was struck and killed Sunday morning in a hit-and-run involving a tow truck, according to Davie police.

The tow truck was eventually found, said Davie Police Capt. Dale Engle, but the truck cab was deserted. The pedestrian, who died on the street, hasn’t been identified.

The hit-and-run happened near Griffin Road and State Road 7.
