Fort Lauderdale lifts boil-water notice for Rio Vista neighborhood

Fort Lauderdale lifted the precautionary boil-water notice that has been in effect since Saturday morning for the Rio Vista neighborhood.

The affected homes and businesses are along Southeast Eighth Street from Federal Highway (U.S. 1) to Southeast 11th Avenue and along Southeast Ninth Street from Federal Highway to Southeast Ninth Avenue.

Scheduled water line maintenance prompted the notice. The city says bacteriological surveys show the water is once again safe for drinking, cooking, brushing teeth.
