Man seriously injured in Wellington equestrian accident

A man injured during an equestrian activity at the Isla Carroll Polo grounds in Wellington was taken by helicopter to a local hospital Saturday, a fire official said.

The accident happened at 1:38 p.m at the polo grounds near the 3000 block of 120th Ave S., according to Capt. Albert Borroto, spokesman for Palm Beach County Fire Rescue.
