More summer storms are expected Wednesday in South Florida before it briefly clears up for the weekend.
The rain that drenched the region on Tuesday is likely to continue for the remainder of the week. Forecasters call for a 40 percent chance of thunderstorms Wednesday and Thursday.
But there’s a silver lining ahead in all those clouds. Friday will start to clear up, with only a 30 percent chance of storms.
Saturday and Sunday should be mostly sunny, with only a 20 percent chance of showers.

Temperatures will rise slightly starting Wednesday, with highs in the high-80s and lows in the low-80s.
The muggy weather will also return, with 96 percent humidity Wednesday.
