A Boca Raton couple is looking to press charges after thieves took unripened mangoes from their mango tree, WPTV reported.

Albert Cacace and his wife were looking forward to their first mango crop in 10 years.

But their excitement turned to disappointment after their surveillance cameras caught a man and a woman taking 20 unripened mangoes from their tree Friday, Cacace told WPTV.

“At first I'm thinking, 'well it's just fruit, why am I so upset about it?' ” Cacace said to a WPTV reporter. “I felt violated.”

The video, which Cacace later shared on his personal and the Boca Raton Police Facebook pages, shows a white Jeep dropping a man and a woman off by Cacace’s house. The pair then pull out white plastic bags and spend the next few minutes pulling mangoes from the trees close to Cacace’s front door.

Cacace told the TV station he thought this might have been happening around the neighborhood.

“If they had knocked on the door and said, 'you got some nice mangoes can we have a couple?' I would have gladly handed it to them,” Cacace said to a WPTV reporter.

If caught, the pair will face a charge of stealing, which is a misdemeanor.
