Weather alert: Cooler temperatures for South Florida
South Florida is getting a break: The searing temperatures in the 90s have ended for now.
The forecast this week calls for highs around 80 and lows around 70.
The bad news: Clouds, some rain and rough surf on Sunday in advance of the cool-down.
The good news: Expect sunny skies the rest of the week.
So how cool will it get?
“Ten degrees cooler” than what South Florida has felt the past few days, said CBS4 meteorologist John Gerard. “Nice and mild.”
Lows in some areas of the region won’t even reach 70. And Highs may not reach 80. That’s a big change from the last few days, when highs in South Florida soared above 90.
