Strong storms with high winds and hail are forecast across South Florida for Tuesday afternoon and evening.
The worst of the weather is expected between 2 and 10 p.m.
“We are on high alert” for storms, said CBS4 meteorologist John Gerard.
The storms could come with wind gusts of more than 50 mph, heavy rainfall, street flooding, lightning and hail, according to the National Weather Service in Miami-Dade.

High temperatures will be in the mid-80s.
Rain chance will remain at 50 percent on Wednesday and decrease Thursday to 20 percent.
