Weather alert: First hot and dry, then rain to usher in 40s and 50s over weekend
Warm. Humid. Sunny. Rain-free.
“It’s dry, it’s quiet and we are mild. The radar is in the clear,” said CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez.
Then things will be changing for South Florida.
“Things will be cooling down,” she said.
National Weather Service forecasters expect rain to move in early Friday, ushering in cooler temperatures and then a cold front over the weekend.
Here’s how it looks:
Friday: A 30 percent chance of rain with highs that fall short of 70, lows around 60 overnight with isolated showers and a breeze.
Saturday: Scattered showers with a high in the mid-70s and a low in the mid-50s with a 50 percent chance of rain.
Sunday: Breezy, mostly sunny with a high in the mid-60s and a low of 48.
Monday: Sunny with a high in the upper-60s.
