Weather alert: A warm week for South Florida, then relief with lows in 50s, 60s
Another hot week looms for in South Florida. So what else is new?
Most of the week will offer highs in the low to mid-80s and lows in the mid-70s, with a 20 percent chance of rain, in this wet and warm December.
But wait. There is something new after all!
Come Friday night, amid a higher chance of rain, cooler temperatures are forecast to move into the region.
Lows on Friday night are expected to dip into the mid-60s, and it will get even cooler Saturday night, possibly into the 50s.
"Direr and a cooler breeze," said CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez.
As for Tuesday: warm, with near-record heat in the mid-80s.
"We are the hot spot across the U.S.," she said.
The morning also started out with patchy fog, cutting visibility in some areas to three miles.
