Poll: Should open carry of firearms be allowed in malls, theaters and stores?

Publix says that open carry is permitted in the chain’s supermarkets. The Adrienne Arsht Center for the Performing Arts in downtown Miami also is permitting open carry.

But most malls and theaters in South Florida will continue to ban guns on the premises.

The business decisions come after a court ruled that Florida’s ban on open carry was unconstitutional. The open carry of guns is banned at school campuses, hospitals, religious venues, prisons, police stations, courts and bars.
