7-year-old abducted in Palm Beach was found safe after Amber Alert issued, police say

A 7-year-old abducted by his father while playing in a park in Palm Beach County was found safe after an Ambert Alert was issued Sunday evening.

According to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Christian Simeus was last seen on the 1200 block of West 3rd Street in Riviera Beach, Florida. The child was taken by his father, 44-year-old Jean Simeus.

Christian was found in north Florida when Florida Highway Patrol pulled Simeus over on Interstate 75, Riviera Beach police said in a statement. He was taken into custody.

“This successful recovery effort highlights the importance of collaboration and swift action in ensuring the safety and well-being of abducted children,” the department said.
