Flowers will cost more in Miami this Valentine’s Day. Here’s where to find the best deals
Planning to get your mom or that special someone a bouquet of roses this Valentine’s Day?
Maybe you’d rather give them tulips, sunflowers or orchids with a box of chocolates.
The good news is that whatever flowers you want, there are lots of places in South Florida to get some. We’re basically the flower capital of the U.S. — Miami International Airport receives 91% of all the flowers imported to the United States for Valentine’s Day.
The bad news is showing your love will likely cost more this year (and we’re not talking about that fancy restaurant bill). Inflation and supply chain issues have caused flower prices to spike. Red roses alone are 22% more expensive than they were last year, according to The Balance.
Where can you find the best deal?
We shopped around to see what’s available. Here are some of the prices you can expect to see. And remember, prices may vary depending on where you go.

▪ Las Flores de La Carreta, 8447 SW 40th St. in Westchester — lasfloresdelacarreta.com. Valentine bouquets range in price from $90 to $340. Bouquets include an assortment of flowers from roses in heart shapes to orchids and eucalyptus.
▪ Cypress Gardens Flower Shop, 10691 SW 72nd St. in Kendall — mycypressgardensflorist.com. Due to a global limited availability of some flowers, Cypress Gardens Flower Shop warns some of its arrangements made need to be replaced with similar stems.
