South Florida temperatures will drop into the 50s this week. For a few days, at least
The 50s are coming to South Florida suburbia and we’re not talking Lucy, Ricky, Elvis and Buicks bigger than buses.
National Weather Service forecasts predict temperatures dipping into the 50s Tuesday night in South Florida western suburbs from Kendall (58 degrees) all the way up to Parkland (54 degrees). Wednesday could see a repeat with temperatures in Homestead expected to get down to 57 and Parkland to be at 56.
The northern part of Florida will see even lower temperatures, with lows in the 40s on Tuesday and Wednesday in Tampa and in the 30s in Tallahassee.
This (relatively) cold snap is supposed to ease up by Thursday and temperatures should return to South Florida norms by Friday.
