Miami Beach Memorial Day Wreath-Laying Ceremony and Gun Salute: The American Legion Miami Beach Post 85 and VFW Miami Beach Post 3559 honor the memory of those who died in service to the country with a wreath-laying ceremony and 21-gun salute. Coral Gables Memorial Day Ceremony: A service will be held at 2:15 p.m. Monday; War Memorial Youth Center, 405 University Dr., Coral Gables. Free.

North Miami Memorial Day: Service at 10 a.m. Monday; North Miami Veterans Memorial at Griffing Park, West Dixie Highway at Northeast 123rd Street. Free.

Fort Lauderdale Memorial Day Ceremony: Service at 9 a.m. Monday; Lauderdale Memorial Park Cemetery, 2001 SW Fourth Ave., Fort Lauderdale. Free.

Riverwalk at Sandy Nininger Statue Memorial Day Event: The William C. Morris American Legion Post 36 in partnership with the City of Fort Lauderdale hosts the ceremony at 11 a.m. Monday; Sandy Nininger statue on the Riverwalk, located next to the Broward Center for the Performing Arts, Fort Lauderdale. Pembroke Pines Memorial Day Ceremony: Service from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m.; presentation of colors, guest speakers and a wreath placing. Fletcher Art and Culture Center, 7960 Johnson St. Free.
