Weather alert: Steamy start to the week, with patchy fog and highs in the 80s

Remember that cold weather a few days ago? It won’t be back this week.

Patchy fog on Tuesday is caused by all the moisture is reducing visibility in the western suburbs. Visibility is down to four miles in Homestead.

Expect lows in the mid- to upper-60s and highs in the 80s. With the humidity, it will likely feel warmer. Some rain is possible.

“You can go with short sleeves,” said CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez said. "It'll be warm and steamy."

According to the National Weather Service, winds will kick up on Wednesday, and Thursday and Friday will bring a 30 percent chance of rain.
