A longtime Tamarac registered nurse faces an accusation that she “used force against and/or struck” her patient — a 3-year-old girl.

A Florida Department of Health administrative complaint says Deborah Cohn-Angermuller, 45, was working for EvelynNurse Registry, a Pembroke Pines company, as a home health care nurse on Nov. 26, 2022, when she “used force against and/or struck” the child under her care.

Calls to home and cellphone numbers listed for Cohn-Angermuller went to voicemails that were full and unable to accept messages.

Administrative complaints start the discipline process, which can end with “no violation found” to, depending on the violation and medical professional’s history, punitive actions up to license revocation. Cohn-Angermuller’s online license profile shows no punitive actions against her since being licensed in Florida on March 31, 2003.

The complaint doesn’t appear on Cohn-Angermuller’s Florida Department of Health license profile, but the Aug. 16 complaint appears in the department’s online administrative complaint listing of the last 30 days and a search of all actions involving Broward registered nurses in August.
