The COVID-19 pandemic has changed everyone’s life over the past two years. But one thing is certain: Everyone handles those changes in different ways.

People can learn different strategies and resources at Friday’s COVID-19 Mental Health & Wellness Community Day.

Amplify Community Resources & RER Consulting and the Miami-Dade County Little Haiti Cultural Center Ayiti Community Trust have teamed up to host the event, which is free and open to the public.

The event, funded by Miami-Dade County, will be held from 3 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Caribbean Marketplace, 5925 NE Second Ave. A mental health panel will convene at 5 p.m.

The discussion will be co-moderated by Dr. Guerda Nicolas, University of Miami professor and clinical-community psychologist, and Nzingah Oniwosan, holistic health consultant and founder of the 365Zing Self-Care App.

The event will offer insights on:

Coping with stress, anxiety, and depression

Teens and post-pandemic mental wellness concerns

Societal challenges, before and after the pandemic

Mental Wellness advocacy and quality of care in South Florida
