Florida COVID update: 2,455 cases added as hospitalizations drop again

Florida on Thursday reported 2,455 additional COVID-19 cases and two more deaths to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, according to Miami Herald calculations of CDC data.

In all, Florida has recorded at least 3,666,858 confirmed COVID cases and 60,420 deaths.

In the past seven days, the state has added, on average, 132 deaths and 1,550 cases per day, according to Herald calculations of CDC data.

The CDC’s vaccination data for both states and counties was not updated Thursday because of Veteran’s Day. The information will update on Friday, the CDC said.
