Coronavirus

Kids 5-11 can now get vaccinated in South Florida. Is your child getting the COVID shot?

South Florida pharmacies, pediatric offices and children’s hospitals will soon begin providing COVID-19 vaccines to children ages 5- to 11-years-old.

Walgreens drug stores have already begun taking appointments for child vaccinations beginning on Saturday, and CVS pharmacies will begin providing them on Sunday.

As we continue to cover South Florida’s COVID vaccine distribution, we want to hear from parents who plan to get their newly eligible children vaccinated.

Have you made an appointment to get your child vaccinated? Did you encounter any problems when getting your child vaccinated or trying to schedule an appointment for your child? Are you vaccinated but uncertain whether your child should get the vaccine?
