Burger King is offering free Whoppers to students if they can pass this test

Burger King is giving away its signature sandwich — but you will have to work for it.

The fast-food chain will put students to the test before they can get their hands on free Whoppers, the company said in a news release.

Starting Monday, Burger King invites students to solve daily problems posted to its social media pages. And by the looks of the questions, the answers may require some brain power.

Each person who comes up with the right solution can use the Burger King app to get a promo code, the news release said. The code allows students to get free Whoppers with any in-app purchase, according to the company.

For those wanting to keep their skills sharp, Burger King says it plans to release questions until April 20. Subjects will include math, science and literature.

Students ages 13 to 18 must have a parent’s permission to use the app, according to the terms and conditions.

The offer comes as school buildings across the country remain closed to help stop the spread of COVID-19. Restaurants and other businesses have also adjusted their services during the pandemic, McClatchy News sites reported.

Last week, Burger King on Twitter said it would stop charging delivery fees for orders up to $10 and announced plans to donate sandwiches to people in the medical field.

The chain of more than 7,000 U.S. restaurants previously shared its response to the spread of the coronavirus, which include efforts to disinfect all locations.
