Coronavirus

Struggled to get information about a loved one at a Florida nursing home? Let us know

There are dozens of assisted living facilities (ALFs) and nursing homes in South Florida that have been infiltrated by the coronavirus.

The state of Florida refuses to name them — even though older Floridians are among the most vulnerable to the ravages of COVID-19, the disease caused by the virus.

This refusal to provide information — and the current prohibition on visitation — has been a source of great anxiety for people with parents, grandparents and other loved ones in elder care facilities.

Do you have a friend or relative in an ALF or nursing home? Have you been stymied trying to get information about how they are doing, whether anyone at the home has tested positive, and what precautions are being implemented to ensure that everyone is safe and healthy?

If so, we want to hear from you. Fill out the form below and we’ll be in touch as soon as possible.
