‘There’s some Corona for you.’ Woman spits on cop after crash, Colorado police say

A woman who crashed into four parked cars Sunday morning spit on a Colorado police officer and told him, “There’s some Corona for you, now all you need is a lime,” The Denver Post says.

Arvada police arrested Brenda Johnson, 62, on suspicion of assault on a peace officer, driving under the influence, hit-and-run and other traffic charges, KMGH reported.

It’s not known whether Johnson has the COVID-19 virus, KCNC reported.

Officers found Johnson in her vehicle parked at a 7-Eleven in Arvada after she slammed into four parked vehicles around 7:30 a.m., The Denver Post reported.

While being processed at a detoxification center, Johnson began spitting on an officer, KMGH reported.

There have been several reports of people spitting on police and claiming to have coronavirus across the nation in recent weeks.

More than 803,000 cases of the COVID-19 virus have been confirmed worldwide with more than 39,000 deaths as of March 31, according to Johns Hopkins University. The United States has more than 164,000 confirmed cases with more than 3,100 deaths.

The World Health Organization has declared coronavirus a global pandemic. The United States has declared a national emergency.
