Coronavirus

Is life in coronavirus quarantine driving you crazy, Miami? At least we have memes

The term “homebody” is taking on new significance in the age of the coronavirus crisis.

In order to slow the spread of this insidious disease, we are being advised to stay put, not to go out, don’t do anything but practice social distancing.

Some of us can use this time productively: read “The Power Broker,” catch up on old Oscar movies, bond with your kids, or learn a new language.

Others can bitch, moan, forlornly look outside and make memes. Thank you for those memes, by the way. We kind of need a laugh right now.

Here are a few favorites:

The ill fated family from “The Shining” is making a coronavirus comeback these days. One shows a portrait of Jack, Wendy and Danny Torrance with the caption, “Isolation time with the family. What could possibly go wrong?”

Some people who were already hermits before the outbreak are posting about how their lives really haven’t changed all that much.

Another big joke making its way around to the group chats is about how, after we all stocked up with a month’s worth of supplies, have basically eaten everything in the cupboard within hours.

Self quarantining translates to so many choices. Should you work in the bedroom today? Or step out to the kitchen? The opportunities are endless, really.

Being home basically 24/7 means so much more time with your beloved pets. Please put more cute, fuzzy, soft things on the Internet to make us happy.

We are also loving the mommy/daddy and me dance routines for TikTok. You guys are really getting the hang of it in between your conference calls. You got this.
