Wonder what Disney World, Universal look like without tourists? Take a look at aerial view

With one of history’s longest theme park closures under way, the magic and mystery that usually surrendered popular parks, such as the Magic Kingdom and Universal Studios, are gone and peeks inside the fenced-off fun zones look like ghost towns.

It has been more than a week since Walt Disney World and Universal Orlando Resort closed their doors to the public in order to protect people from the possible spread of novel coronavirus. Disney plans to reopen at the end of the month, while Universal will be reopening on April 19.

As of Tuesday morning, 1,412 positive cases of COVID-19 were confirmed by Florida’s Department of Health.

Thanks to the aerial photo work of Don Gworek, who runs the Twitter account @bioreconstruct, people no longer have to imagine what an empty Disney World and Universal might look like.

Some who have seen Main Street USA at Magic Kingdom devoid of tourists posted on Twitter say they have found it eerie and ghost-like, others say there is something special seeing theme parks that traffic in the millions empty for weeks on end.

Take a look at what Walt Disney World looks like with no one in sight.

Universal Orlando also closed its theme parks, hotels and CityWalk.

Pictures from Gworek show what an empty Volcano Bay, Islands of Adventure and Universal Studios look like.
