Maria Cruz was in her local Walmart Supercenter on Northwest 79th Street in Hialeah on Friday afternoon when she heard a commotion in the water aisle.

The 17-year-old student pulled out her phone to shoot the incident as it began to escalate.

Cruz told the Miami Herald that a pair of shoppers (a young woman accompanied by an older woman) were arguing with staffers over a package of water bottles.

“I heard a bunch of noise, people pushing things,” said Cruz, who thinks that the dispute began after another shopper bought the last package that they had wanted to purchase. “Then security came.”

Cruz’s video shows the younger individual, whose age is unclear, kicking two guards who have her by the arms and then she starts screaming at the top of her lungs.

“What the [bleep] is your problem! I need to get water! I want water!!!”

Soon, the cops arrive, and you can hear the individual crying as they all drop to the ground out of view. Glass shatters.

“What the hell?” says a bystander.

“They want water,” answers someone else off camera.

“She was screaming, ‘Don’t touch me! You have the coronavirus!’” Cruz said, adding the customer was eventually led out to the parking lot by officers. “It was crazy.”

It was unclear if any charges were filed late Monday.
