Miami-based Norwegian Escape to include “snow room” in spa
Ah, the joys of a Caribbean cruise: warm sun, tropical breeze....and snow?
Norwegian Escape, which launches this fall in Miami, will include a room dedicated to the cold stuff as part of its two-deck Mandara Spa.
According to Miami-based Norwegian Cruise Line, the Snow Room will will produce powdery snow throughout the day and offer “a multitude of health benefits, including stimulating blood circulation in the body and strengthening the immune system.”
In addition to the cold space — which will be kept between 21 and 32 degrees — the spa will also include heated loungers, whirlpools, a steam room, dry sauna, salt room and other relaxation and treatment areas. Norwegian is no stranger to freezing onboard temps: A few of its ships boast an ice bar.
With room for 4,200 guests, the Norwegian Escape will start sailing from PortMiami to the Eastern Caribbean in November.
