Frontier launching Miami-Vegas service
Travelers will have another way to visit Sin City this fall.
Low-cost carrier Frontier Airlines announced Monday that it is launching daily nonstop service between Miami International Airport and McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas starting Oct. 25.
The airline, which started flying from Miami last year, will operate the flights using an Airbus A319 with 138 seats.
“We’re excited that Frontier will soon be offering direct daily flights from Miami to Las Vegas, and we appreciate their growing commitment to the Miami market,” Miami-Dade Aviation Department Director Emilio González said in a statement. “There’s clearly room for domestic low-cost carriers to thrive at MIA, and Frontier has wisely chosen to fill that market space.”
Frontier also flies from Miami to Atlanta, Chicago, Denver, New York City, Philadelphia and Washington, D.C. According to Miami International Airport, only American Airlines offers direct service between Miami and Las Vegas at the moment.
