Coconut Grove visitor center now open
Miami-Dade’s tourism bureau has rolled out its newest welcome mat for visitors.
The multicultural tourism department of the Greater Miami Convention & Visitors Bureau opened the Coconut Grove Village West Visitor Center on Monday inside the art space KROMA Gallery at 3670 Grand Ave.
A partnership with the gallery and the Coconut Grove Collaborative, the center is stocked with brochures, maps, calendars and other information about attractions and events in the neighborhood. It will be open from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Monday through Saturday.
The Coconut Grove visitor center is the latest to open as the bureau seeks to attract more tourists and locals to what it calls the “vibrant multicultural heritage neighborhoods” of Miami-Dade. Other centers have opened in recent months in destinations including Little Haiti, Historic Overtown and Little Havana.
