Were you planning on hopping a Brightline train for Disney World or Universal Studios? You won’t be able to yet — at least for a few more weeks.

The opening of Brightline’s new Orlando station is being pushed back from Sept. 1, a company spokesperson confirmed Thursday. The spokesperson also said Brightline is “eager to launch service” and is “close to identifying a start date” for the station.

The station is in its final days of certification.

The first available tickets to Orlando are for Sept. 22, according to the Brightline booking website. Round trip-tickets from Miami to Orlando are selling for as low as $79 and as high as $149 for the premium class.

A traveler who reserved a trip from Sept. 1 to Sept. 21 will get a full refund and a premium voucher for future use. Passengers also can use a discount on an Avis car rental.

In a statement, Brightline said that affected travelers will see the changes in their accounts and emails in the next five to seven business days.

Brightline stations have previously faced delays in opening.

The Orlando station was first delayed from Sept. 1 to Sept. 15 before this most recent delay until later in the month. And in December, the opening date of Brightline’s Aventura station faced several hold-ups due to pending elevator permits.
