Six months into the restart of cruising, Royal Caribbean’s Symphony of the Seas ship said they experienced an outbreak of at least 48 cases of COVID-19 when they docked in Miami on December 18.

The outbreak came about a month after the omicron variant was identified, which has quickly been spreading across the United States. Some passengers say they believe their loved ones who tested positive for COVID-19 on the ship did not receive sufficient medical attention and that the cruise line initially did not make testing available to close contacts.

Are you currently or have you been on a recent cruise where COVID-19 was on board? We want to hear from you to help us track how cruise ships are handling COVID-19 outbreaks at this stage in the pandemic.
