Planning a trip to Disney Springs? Everything’s not open yet. Here’s what to expect
After nearly two months of being closed, Disney Springs will reopen to the public on Wednesday, May 20, marking Walt Disney World’s first step toward reopening its entire resort.
Disney originally closed all of its parks, including hotels and Disney Springs, indefinitely on March 27 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Ahead of the big day, Disney has released a list of everything that will be reopened.
Only about 44 shops and restaurants out of the 168 at Disney Springs will be reopening. Disney only allowed third-party owners to open, meaning the World of Disney store will remain closed along with other Disney stores.
Some stores that will be back up and running are 4 Rivers Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck, Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company and Planet Hollywood. A full list can be found here.
Disney Springs won’t be back to business as usual when it reopens. Many safety guidelines have been added to prevent the spread of the novel coronavirus.
Guests will be temperature screened before entering, and there will be limited parking and reduced entrances into Disney Springs. Face coverings are required for anyone ages 3 and up, and there will be physical barriers and queues for social distancing.
