Prime Minsiter Justin Trudeau’s administration will also ban entry to ports in northern Canada for the remainder of the cruise season, the Star reported, as the government has deemed the risk from the virus greater for more remote communities.

Miami-based Carnival Corp., the world’s largest cruise line, and Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings both run multiple voyages to Canada departing from New York. Holland America, owned by Carnival, also offers voyages to Alaska and Canada.
