New York real estate firm Brown Harris Stevens has acquired Zilbert International Realty, a luxury residential brokerage based in Miami Beach.

"The diverse and vibrant Miami market is an ideal venue for our expansion as many of our clients spend time there," William Lie Zeckendorf, co-owner of Brown Harris Stevens, said in a statement. "Zilbert’s agents’ unparalleled knowledge of the market, and commitment to excellent service to clients dovetails perfectly with the principles that Brown Harris Stevens has stood for since 1873.”

Mark Zilbert, who founded Zilbert in 2003, will become president of a new Miami-based firm called Brown Harris Stevens Zilbert. The firm, which has more than 30 licensed agents, will maintain its office at 1129 5th St., Miami Beach, and will open a new location at the corner of Ocean Drive and South Pointe Drive.
