It’s the ultimate expression of South Florida’s over-the-top luxury condo boom: an elevator for your car.

The car elevator at the under-construction Porsche Design Tower in Sunny Isles Beach will allow residents to park their Bentley, McLaren and, of course, Porsche in a clear “sky garage” in their apartment — and show their automobile off to guests.

Now developer Gil Dezer has released a video of a car using a nine-story model of the elevator — patented as the Dezervator — at a testing facility in Chicago. Epic orchestral music plays as the vehicle is driven into the lift, borne towards the heavens by the mechanism, then deposited into its private garage.

The 60-story tower will open in the first quarter of 2016. Units range in price from $6.3 million to $32.5 million. But you better hurry if you want to park your car in the sky: only eight condos are still on the market, according to a press release from developers.
