Rapper Timbaland just bought a Coral Gables mansion for $7.9 million
Music producer/rapper Timbaland has added another mansion to his portfolio of Miami residential properties.
The Grammy award winner paid $7.9 million for a seven-bedroom, eight-bathroom, 8,600-square-foot spread at 5400 Hammock Drive in the Coral Gables gated community of Hammock Lakes.
The Real Deal first reported the sale. The property had been listed in May at an asking price of $8.6 million.
In January 2018, Timbaland paid $8 million for two units at the 53-story luxury condo tower Aria on the Bay, which was built by the Miami-based developer Melo Group. Former Miami Marlins outfielder Giancarlo Stanton also owns a three-story penthouse in that building.
Timbaland also owns a seven-bedroom home at 10395 SW 67th Ave. in Pinecrest, which he bought in 2004 for $3.5 million. The musician had listed the mansion for sale in 2017 for $4.4 million, but took it off the market after a contract with a potential buyer fell through.
