Orlando-based developer Zom Holding has broken ground on a 50-story luxury rental tower in Brickell.

The 438-unit building is located at 86 SW Eighth St., a block from the luxury shopping center under construction at Swire Properties’ massive, mixed-use Brickell City Centre project.

The cost of apartments hasn’t been announced yet. The building will open in late 2017. Its ground floor will include about 7,000 square feet of retail space.

An earlier version of this story incorrectly stated the type of units available at Solitair.
