Former Harley-Davidson showroom in Fort Lauderdale sells for $4.8 million
A former Harley-Davidson showroom in Fort Lauderdale sold for $4.8 million on Wednesday, or about $107 per square foot.
The 45,000-square-foot property also includes a warehouse and office space. It has an address of 2871 North Federal Highway in Fort Lauderdale.
“With 200 feet of direct frontage on U.S. 1, the Harley-Davidson store benefits from a highly visible location within Fort Lauderdale’s premier retail corridor, which includes Target, Publix, Bed Bath & Beyond and Best Buy,” Kimberly Barbar, a broker at Stiles Realty, which handled the sale, said in a statement.
Barber added that the property may be a good location for a clothing retailer.
The buyer is 2201 Wynwood LLC, a Fort Lauderdale company controlled by Felipe Yalale, who has also bought up property in Wynwood.
The showroom used to be the site of Bruce Rossmeyer’s Harley-Davidson dealership, which also has locations in Daytona and New Smyrna Beach. Rossmeyer died in a motorcycle crash in Wyoming in 2009.
