TotalBank execs join U.S. Century after mass layoffs

U.S. Century Bank announced Monday that two top executives from TotalBank will join its team.

Nelson Hidalgo will lead the Doral-based bank’s Business Banking Division as executive vice president. Martha Guerra-Kattou will join as senior vice president in charge of sales and marketing.

Miami-based TotalBank laid off dozens of workers in November.

CEO Luis de la Aguilera left soon after to take the reins at U.S. Century, which nearly went under during the financial crisis but managed to save itself with a $65 million recapitalization deal last year.
