Three Miami Beach hotels that opened (or reopened) in recent months are getting some love from Travel + Leisure.

The magazine on Thursday announced its 10th annual “It List” highlighting 43 of the world’s best new hotels, which will appear in the March print edition.

Editors chose the Miami Beach Edition, Thompson Miami Beach and Shelborne Wyndham Grand South Beach — all on Collins Avenue — to make the list. The only other Florida property to make the list was the Four Seasons Resort in Orlando.

Both the Edition and Thompson, which opened in late 2014, were classified as “scene makers.” The write-up lauded everything from the Edition’s lobby to its cocktail bar, nightclub, bowling alley and mini skating rink and called the hotel “hands down the city’s hottest address.”

The Thompson, the magazine pointed out, has a vibe that “is more beach-house retreat than party pad,” but editors argued that the hotel is still “a place to see and be seen.”

As a “comeback queen,” the Shelborne Wyndham Grand earned praise for its $90 million renovation, which was unveiled in September.
