American Airlines adding more flights from MIA
American Airlines announced on Thursday that it will add two more routes from Miami International Airport, where it is the largest carrier.
The airline plans to add daily direct flights between Miami and Barranquilla, Colombia and service six days a week between Miami and Monterrey, Mexico. Both routes are scheduled to kick off on June 4.
An airport spokesman said Avianca flies to Barranquilla, but no airline at the moment offers flights directly to Monterrey. He said Aeromexico, which has flown the Monterrey-Miami route in the past, plans to resume those flights in March.
