South Florida technology company Heico Corp. announced Tuesday that it had acquired the majority of Aeroworks International Holdings, which makes parts for aircraft interiors.
Heico acquired 80 percent of the equity of the company, which is headquartered in the Netherlands and has production facilities in Laos and Thailand. The companies did not release financial terms of the deal.
No changes to employment or customer relationships at Aeroworks are expected, Heico said.
Heico, which has headquarters in Miami and Hollywood, manufactures replacement parts for airplanes as well as components for the space, defense, communications, medical and computer industries. Including the latest acquisition, the company’s subsidiaries operate production or engineering facilities in eight countries in North America, Europe and Asia.
