Royal Caribbean moves to bolster French and Spanish cruises
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. plans sell a majority stake of two cruise brands to an investment firm to provide culturally authentic cruises for Spanish and French tourists. The world second-biggest cruise line, based in Miami, will partner with private investment firm Springwater Capital of Spain, which will manage its Pullmantur and Croisières de France cruise brands.
As part of deal, Royal Caribbean will sell a 51 percent stake in Pullmantur and CDF to Springwater. The company did not disclose the price.
