West Kendall Baptist Hospital shows off new scanner
West Kendall Baptist Hospital held an event Wednesday to mark the installation of an advanced new machine.
The hospital has been using GE Healthcare’s Revolution Computed Tomography scanner since September. It was the first installation in the United States of the scanner.
Wednesday, GE chair and CEO Jeffrey Immelt visited the hospital for a tour and reception.
Officials also announced that the hospital will participate in the Miami Heart Study, a medical research project focused on cardiovascular disease.
