Frontier Airlines flights launch Saturday at MIA
Frontier Airlines is scheduled to start flying out of Miami International Airport on Saturday, launching service to Denver, New York and Philadelphia. The low-cost airline starts flying to the Washington, D.C. area and Chicago O’Hare on Sunday.
With this weekend’s flights, Denver-based Frontier becomes MIA’s 100th air carrier. Finnair, which started seasonal service between Miami and Helsinki earlier in the week, was the 99th carrier.
The airport said its lineup includes 53 scheduled passenger airlines, eight charter passenger carriers and 39 cargo carriers — 26 scheduled and 13 charter.
