Gables Energy Partners, LLC, a Coral Gables-based energy technology firm, said Tuesday it has acquired the intellectual property and certain assets of Electrolytic Technologies Corp. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Based in North Miami Beach, ETC manufactures on-site chlorine gas and sodium hypochlorite (bleach) generation systems. Its products are designed to be used by industries concerned with water and waste-water treatment including municipalities, mining, oil & gas, chemical, and other industrial customers, Gables Energy said.
ETC’s flagship product, Klorigen, is the only chlor-alkali technology to have received designation by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security as a Qualified Anti-Terrorism Technology, according to Gables Energy Partners Chief Executive David Schwedel.
