First annual Miami Make Week kicks off

Maker spaces, coworking centers, accelerators and universities are hosting events all week for technologists, artisans and craftspeople, celebrating the growing maker movement in South Florida.

Participants can learn new skills, partake in a project, meet other makers and learn more about the maker spaces. Miami Make Week will end Nov. 15 with presentations of some of the creations and a contest. For more information and a lineup of events, go to MiamiMakeWeek.com.
