AT&T announced Friday that it has completed upgrades to nearly 50 cell sites in Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. The network improvements mean the cell sites can now handle more traffic, which in turn should give customers better mobile data and voice service.
The areas benefiting from the improvements are: Aventura, Coral Gables, Hialeah, Homestead, Kendale Lakes, Miami, Miami Beach, and Miami Gardens in Miami-Dade County; Coral Springs, Fort Lauderdale, Hollywood, Miramar, Oakland Park, Pembroke Pines, Plantation, and Pompano Beach in Broward County; and Boynton Beach, Lake Worth, Loxahatchee, North Palm Beach, Riviera Beach, Royal Palm Beach, Wellington, and West Palm Beach in Palm Beach County.
In addition, AT&T said it has completed a major upgrade to its Distributed Antenna System at Miami’s professional football stadium that should result in a better game-day experience for fans. The stadium upgrades are improving service inside the stadium and in the stadium parking lot.
