Mi9 Retail, a provider of retail merchandising, business intelligence and store operations software, announced it is opening an office in Miami, which will serve as the company’s U.S. headquarters.
With existing offices in Pleasanton, CA, and Toronto, the Miami office will house executive management, marketing, business development, customer support and project management teams. The research and development team that recently joined Mi9 Retail as part of the company’s acquisition of Infinithread will also be based in the Miami office.
M19 Retail currently has 19 employees in Miami with more to be hired as interviewing is under way, said Judy Glynn, spokeswoman for Mi9 Retail. M19 is currently hiring for presales, product development, implementation and business analysts and inside sales. “In Miami alone, we should have 40 to 50 employees next year,” she said. The company currently has 78 employees in total.
The expansion to open a new office will enable Mi9 Retail to better serve its large retail clients, including Crabtree & Evelyn, Hardrock, Barneys New York, Orchard Supply Hardware and Talbots. Mi9 Retail has already grown its team by approximately 30 percent in 2014 and plans to continue its aggressive growth into 2015, the company said.

“With the burgeoning tech scene in Miami, we felt this was the perfect location for running a growing enterprise software company,” said Neil Moses, president of Mi9 Retail. “We have been very successful recruiting talented individuals in Miami and believe that the labor market in Miami is more favorable for technology companies at this time than it is in other technology centers in North America.”
